Healing is personal. It’s natural to have questions — especially when exploring holistic or unfamiliar approaches. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about my work. If you don’t see your question here, please feel free to reach out — I’d be honored to chat.

  • At its root, soma means “body.” Somatic work is based on the understanding that our bodies hold memories, emotions, and unprocessed experiences—often long after our minds have moved on. These unresolved energies can live in the body as looping thought patterns, automatic behaviors, or even physical discomfort and illness.

Somatic processing invites us to gently listen to the body’s wisdom. By tracking sensations, honoring what arises, and allowing old energies to release, we create space for new beliefs, healthier patterns, and deeper self-trust. Over time, this work reconnects us with our natural intuition and authenticity.

And yes—this work can absolutely be done virtually. The body’s wisdom doesn’t require physical proximity; it requires presence, awareness, and guidance. Many clients find virtual sessions just as powerful, with the added comfort of being in their own familiar environment.

  • Ceremonial Breathwork is rooted in Holotropic breathing—a practice that means “moving toward wholeness.” It uses a specific, accelerated breathing pattern that quiets the busy “monkey mind” (default mode network) and awakens the brain’s memory, sensory, and emotional centers. FMRIs even show that the brain activity during this practice mirrors what happens with certain plant medicines like psilocybin—yet it is accessed simply through the breath.

The result is often a deeply somatic experience: people may tap into memories, emotions, and stored energy, while also entering expanded states of consciousness. Alongside these profound inner journeys, there are also well-documented physiological benefits such as improved oxygenation, circulation, and nervous system regulation.

What makes my offering unique is the ceremonial container: a sacred, intentional space woven with sound, energy medicine, and ritual. This helps the experience feel both safe and transformative.

And yes—Ceremonial Breathwork can absolutely be done virtually, either one-on-one or in groups. Many people find the practice just as powerful in the comfort of their own space, supported and guided through the journey.

  • Hypnosis is a natural state of awareness we all drift in and out of every day—like when you’re driving and suddenly realize you don’t remember the last few turns. In hypnotherapy, we intentionally enter this state to shift subconscious patterns and access deeper layers of healing.

You are always in full control. You will never say or do anything that goes against your values or will. Hypnotherapy is safe, collaborative, and supportive—it’s about empowerment, not giving away your power.

In my approach, we work at the root cause: gently uncovering the origin of uncomfortable emotions, limiting beliefs, or patterns. Hypnosis helps us enter lower brainwave states where the body and mind can revisit experiences while still feeling grounded in the present. This unique state offers both safety and access: you can be with difficult memories or sensations without being overwhelmed by them.

From here, something profound becomes possible: the unconscious mind doesn’t distinguish between what is imagined and what is real. This allows us to create a reparative experience—offering your younger self what was needed then, but missing at the time. Through this process, new neural pathways form, opening the way for lasting healing, freedom, and new possibilities.

  • Yes—both. All individual sessions can be offered virtually or in person, depending on where you live. Retreats, whether private or group, are always in person—regularly in Costa Rica and twice a year in Virginia. Youth sessions are generally best held in person for the most support, while breathwork, energy work, and yoga can be shared either virtually or face-to-face. Above all, I aim for accessibility, so you can experience this work in the way that feels most supportive for your life.

  • I offer curated group experiences as well as deep-dive 1:1 immersions, each thoughtfully tailored to the participant’s desired outcomes. Larger group retreats happen several times a year—details can be found on the Offerings page.

For a private experience, whether with friends, family, or a small group, we begin with an exploratory call. Together, we combine your goals and intentions with my guidance and experience to create a personalized, intimate, and transformative retreat designed just for you.
